I am trying another plugin that is supposed to automatically generate a featured image from the first image in a post. If that works, it’ll be a big step forward. If it actually displays on Bluesky and Mastodon (which I’m not expecting), I’ll have everything I’m looking for, for now. I suspect that even if it works, it’ll generate that featured image as it’s publishing the post, which means it won’t be available for social previews.
